EnviroDesign Studio is a professional services firm dedicated to serve both public and private sector clients in the areas of environmental planning and design, environmental consulting, and landscape architecture.  EnviroDesign Studio strives to integrate science, art, and design in the development and conservation of the land and in the development of communities.  It is our belief that only scientific rigor simultaneously employed with aesthetic sensibility, artistic expression, and knowledge of social and cultural demands can produce enjoyable spaces where both humans and wildlife can thrive.  Landscape architecture provides EnviroDesign Studio the conceptual framework and tools to effectively integrate the ecological sciences, our social and cultural values, and artistic and aesthetic considerations into design solutions that respond to the challenges of sustainable living combined with delight.

The primary objective of a landscape architectural design is “to arrive at a superlative, unique, creative synthesis of [many subjects] – to sieve the significant relationships from the peripheral and to transform them into something that is truly wonderful in the world” (K. Poole et al.).  EnviroDesign Studio believes that the power of the landscape architectural design process lies precisely in taking into consideration many apparently conflicting objectives and arriving at unique, pleasing, and satisfactory solutions such that both humans and the rest of Nature can live in mutually enriching ways.  At the same time, only a deep understanding of the environmental systems that sustain a landscape can result in designs of enduring value.  Thus, EnviroDesign Studio strives to create spaces that are culturally vibrant, artistic, and ecologically sustainable through scientific research, artistic exploration, and a vanguard design attitude.  EnviroDesign Studio is unique in that it seamlessly integrates services in environmental consulting, planning and design and provides clients with a solutions-oriented, holistic, and synoptic approach.

EnviroDesign Studio is led by José Juan Terrasa-Soler, a Puerto Rican landscape architect, ecologist, and hydrologist.  José Juan has over 10 years of experience in the environmental field and has led numerous professional teams for all types of public and private projects.
